TEST TW WEATHER

KMLA Boat Inspectors Needed

All,

We are significantly down in volunteer hours compared to last year at this time.  Please make an effort to reserve a time when you can volunteer at the boat launch.  Our grant depends on it.

All details are listed below.

ello KMLA Members!

WIth summer right around the corner, it’s time once again to pitch in to keep our beautiful lake as clean and pristine as possible.  As part of our DNR grant, Kettle Moraine Lake is required to monitor the boat launch and record the information on the DNR SWIMS website.  This is the Clean Boaters, Clean Waters program (CBCW).

This is where you come in!  Cheryl and I will be coordinating the CBCW program again this summer.  We need each of you to carve out some time to be on boat launch duty.  As in the past, the bin containing paperwork as well as towels to hand out to the boaters, will be kept in the foyer at the Katt’s house.  Training is provided and KMLA will credit your dues at a rate of $12.00 for each hour spent at the boat launch.

We’ve put together a sign-up sheet in Google again this year, so feel free to go out and claim your time:

2022 KMLA Boat Launch Volunteer Hours

Alternatively, please reach out to me or Cheryl and let us know when you are available a few hours to help out and we’ll add you to the sign-up sheet.  Do your part – It’s easy, fun, and will ensure our lake remains clean!

Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Dan and Cheryl Rick
